On March 28, WBC hosted a morning roundtable discussion with Deputy Mayor Cas Holloway, as part of its Breakfast with City Hall Program. Topics of discussion included Local Law 129, and the Mayor's "Compete to Win" initiative with aims to help WBEs build capacity.  The roundtable was a members-only event and was well attended.

The mission of the Women Builders Council (WBC) is to seek and implement solutions to the challenges faced by women professionals in the building industry. WBC does this through advocacy, technical assistance and training, and by maintaining a strong professional network of its members. WBC provides regional strength to impact public policy, allowing for change to enhance the growth of women-owned business enterprises.

WBC provides a dynamic forum that advances knowledge and promotes dialogue through its Small Business Seminar SeriesBreakfast with City Hall program, Access to Albany program, and its annual conference in May. An influential voice in the legislative process for women architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors, WBC welcomes into its membership women and men from every building industry discipline, and firms which provide direct services to the industry.
